  • Optimize Operations: Champion engineering metrics, retrospectives, and continuous improvement practices to drive operational excellence.
  • Engineer Solutions: Lead technical design reviews to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions while balancing complexity and user impact.
  • Manage Priorities: Own the technical backlog, prioritizing between technical debt, new features, and scalability initiatives.
  • Ensure Performance: Monitor service health, aligning with SLOs to guarantee an outstanding user experience.
  • Develop Careers: Create structured development plans to empower team members and nurture their career growth.

About You

  • Proven Leadership: Experience leading and managing high-performing software engineering teams.
  • Technical Expertise: A strong hands-on background in software development and deep knowledge of development practices, testing strategies, and deployments.
  • Project Delivery Excellence: Expertise in project management, optimizing workflows, and driving successful project outcomes.
  • Problem-Solving Prowess: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Agile Advocate: Experience with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
  • Exceptional Communication: The ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: A proven history of successful collaboration with product teams, designers, and stakeholders.
  • Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field—or equivalent experience.

Bonus Points

  • Led multiple engineering teams or managed managers.
  • Implemented successful department-wide technical initiatives or standards.
  • Improved engineering metrics across teams (e.g., deployment frequency, MTTR).
  • Cross-functional leadership experience in product-driven organizations.
