What You’ll Do:
Develop the next generation of automated microservice testing frameworks and technologies at Roblox. Enable our thousands of microservices to robustly deploy changes while ensuring that automated testing catches functional and non-functional regressions, providing a delightful experience for our developers. Enable fast, cloud-scale infrastructure that reliably enables thousands of developers to deliver Roblox’s exciting mission. Have high impact shaping how Roblox develops and deploys their services across all areas of the company.
You will:
- Lead, support, and grow a team of engineers to build and maintain a scalable automated testing solutions.
- Design next generation automated testing frameworks to satisfy a varied collection of high performance microservice implementations, across all aspects of Roblox’s business.
- Work with all business partners to define clear visions, roadmaps, and SLO/APIs, and drive the execution end-to-end.
- Lead the application of AI to enable automated test generation, and accelerate developers in reaching testing goals.
You have:
- 5+ years of experience in developing and building an automated testing infrastructure.
- 2+ years of experience managing high performing engineering teams.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Golang or C#
- BS in Computer Science, MS/PhD or equivalent experience.
You are:
- A hands-on technical leader. You will lead a team while driving forward technical decisions.
- Excited about the impact that automated testing has on development velocity and product quality.
- Experienced with applying state of the art testing solutions to novel and complex technical domains.
- Understanding of what is required to measure and control performance regressions.
- Able to articulate a strong vision of what the future of testing at Roblox will look like.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$289,460—$338,270 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
