We have sold ~300,000 tons in offtakes from leading CDR buyers like Frontier and Google.

About the role


We are seeking an Engineer Manager/Technical Lead to our São Paulo engineering team. In this role, you will combat climate change by building and enhancing Terradot’s software platform for Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW). You’ll partner with scientific, engineering, operational, and commercial teams to translate user needs into intuitive solutions that drive operational excellence and long-term company growth. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role with significant ownership and the opportunity to shape a platform that will enable Terradot to scale ERW deployments, drawing down significant amounts of CO2 from the atmosphere and making a substantial impact on climate change.


What you'll do


  • Ensure stellar execution and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with US-based Product and Engineering leads to build web and mobile software that manages the end-to-end project development workflow at Terradot. 
  • Immerse yourself in the operational realities of ERW project execution and operations. Partner with the Operations division to create pragmatic, user-centered solutions that bridge the physical/digital divide and accelerate Terradot’s ability to scale.
  • Shape a culture of sustainable, empathetic, and high-velocity engineering, with a deep focus on cross-team collaboration, documentation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Work hands-on to build features across the mobile and web stack
  • Coach and mentor engineers at different levels to maximize their impact and achieve their career goals.


What we are looking for


  • An undergraduate degree in CS or a related field
  • 8+ years of engineering with 2+ years of engineering management or lead experience
  • Solid English skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Hands-on experience in building delightful web products, full-stack from frontend, APIs, to Postgres backend.
  • Experience directly interacting with customers and using technology to solve real-world operational problems.
  • Experience in recruiting, organizing, and motivating teams; helping people grow in their careers; and managing people.
  • Full-stack engineering expertise in React, React Native, Python, SQL. GCP is highly desirable, though another large cloud environment (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a good substitute.
  • Desire to learn the intricacies of the science behind Enhanced Rock Weathering and Carbon Credit Accounting.

Skills Required

What We Do

Over millions of years, silicate rock weathering has regulated Earth’s climate. By crushing silicate rocks and spreading them on agricultural soils - an approach called Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) - we can accelerate Earth’s natural process into a solution capable of addressing the urgency of climate change. Existing agricultural and silicate rock sites - namely 5,000+ global silicate rock quarries surrounded by agricultural land - have the potential to remove billions of tonnes of CO2 with enhanced rock weathering. There, we are building the most ambitious ERW hub to date. This hub will drive the necessary breakthroughs in ERW science, ensuring every tonne of carbon dioxide removed is measured and tracked with certainty. These insights will power digital tools for the optimization and verification of carbon removal projects, enabling the replicability of these hubs globally If successful, this approach will uniquely and rapidly catalyze global-scale carbon removal, enabling the transformation of [300] such quarries in Brazil and [5,000+] global quarries into carbon removal hubs.
