Your role

As the Engineering Manager, you will oversee one or multiple product lines, leading a team of software developers in creating and maintaining software for Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in the connected mobility and electric car area. You will ensure overall product quality and take the lead in strategic planning, hiring, and team building. Your strong leadership will be instrumental in driving the success of our customer programs and making a significant impact on the future of electric vehicle technology.

Your future tasks at a glance

  • Oversee the overall delivery and quality of customer programs for ECUs in Connected Mobility and Electric Vehicles.

  • Lead the team development and execution of strategic headcount planning, hiring, and team building.

  • Enable and empower the team to constantly innovate and perform all SW development tasks to their full potential.

  • Define the sprint team structure and monitor workload, including open tickets, to ensure team health and productivity.

  • Lead roadmap meetings and align product direction with customer needs.

  • Ensure compliance with established processes and standards such as ISO26262, ISO21434 and ASPICE.

  • Act as the direct interface between Product Management and HR, aligning strategies and resolving any issues that may arise.

What you bring with you

  • Successfully completed university degree in computer science or a comparable engineering field

  • Experience in the field of HV batteries, cell monitoring, battery storage systems is a plus

  • More than 5 years of working experience in embedded software engineering (ideally in C/C++)

  • More than 3 years of working experience in a software architecture or technical leadership role

  • Ideally experience with automotive safety and cybersecurity

  • Eager to assume responsibility for a software team while embracing the ownership of one or more products

  • Creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm for innovative electronics solutions for electric vehicles

  • Preference for working in teams and strong communication skills (English; German favorable)

Skills Required

  • University degree in computer science or comparable engineering field
  • More than 5 years experience in embedded software engineering
  • More than 3 years experience in software architecture or technical leadership
  • Experience with Electronic Control Units (ECUs) / embedded vehicle systems
  • Knowledge of ISO26262, ISO21434 and ASPICE
  • Team leadership experience including headcount planning and hiring
  • Experience in C/C++
  • Experience with automotive safety and cybersecurity
  • Experience with HV batteries, cell monitoring, or battery storage systems
  • Strong communication skills; English required, German favorable
