Job Description
As Engineering Manager Product Safety, you will report to the Head of Aircraft Group and lead a team Product Safety Engineers. You will be responsible for Product Safety of Volocopter projects.
In your role you will be responsible for all disciplinary aspects in the team and for all interfaces to external/internal stakeholders, including Project Management.
Your mission during this flight:

Establish and execute the Safety Program Plan for Volocopter products including:

Define safety objectives

Ensure safety requirements are defined and fulfilled

Manage Supplier safety activities
-
Define Team priorities and manages team workload.

Ensure sufficient skills of Product Safety Team and foster professional growth of its members.

Plan Product Safety deliveries with Project Management.

Monitor Product Safety Engineers with respect to on time and on quality.

Train Product Safety Engineers and improve continuously the team competence.

Ensure Product Safety involvement during design & development and change management.

Support recruiting process together with Head of Department and human resources.

Manage roles and responsibilities within Product Safety team.

Steer Product Safety priorities and be the point of contact for ext./int. team communication.

Qualifications
Check in your professional skills:

MSc degree in engineering, preferably aerospace engineering.

Minimum 10y experience in aerospace engineering.

Excellent knowledge of ARP4761, ARP4754A, CS-XX.1309.

Ability to see the big picture.
-
Be able to adapt communication depending on situation (stakeholder, presentation, team management, conflict management).
-
Experience in performing safety analysis on core aircraft systems such as flight control, power distribution or propulsion.
-
Experience in performing safety analysis and assessment with different methods and product, system and components levels.
-
Experience with minimum one regulatory code either CS-23, CS-25, CS-27 or CS-29. SC-VTOL is a plus.

Project management skills (risk, milestone an/or priority management.
