About the role
As an Engineering Manager at Acast you will be the people manager and technical leader for all engineers in your team.
You will…
• work closely with our tech leadership team to continuously deliver value and make sure that the members in your team are growing.
• build, support, and grow a team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
• drive execution by organising team work, setting goals, and holding the team accountable.
• have a critical role in guiding the team’s product decision making alongside the team’s Product Manager. At Acast, Engineering and Product Managers are each other’s closest collaborator.
In addition to your own team, you will also be contributing to and influencing the engineering organisation’s direction and culture alongside other engineering managers and directors.
What you will do
Applied Intelligence is a cornerstone of Acast’s strategy to shape the future of podcast advertising.
Collaborating with an experienced PM, you will guide one of the area’s key teams to break new ground in automating campaign planning and delivering smarter targeting through data-driven recommendations. The team’s work will create value for advertisers, creators, and the broader podcast ecosystem.
Who you are
We are looking for someone who truly enjoys developing and growing people. Leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills are among your strengths. We also believe that you advocate agile software development and engineering best practices. It's important that you are curious and can adapt quickly and enjoy a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
The team’s systems are written in PHP, Python, and Node.JS. Infrastructure runs in AWS so you are expected to be familiar with these technologies. In this role, you will be expected to stay connected to the team’s daily work and be a technical leader with the respect of their team.
For this important team we are seeking someone with solid experience and a strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams, and managing stakeholder relationships.
Where you will be
Most of our teams are hybrids with some members co-located in offices and some working remotely. With a remote first way of working we want you to feel productive regardless of work location!
Where? For this role, we are looking within Sweden.
Working hours? We want to avoid teams distributed over time zones, so this team will operate within the CET time zone for collaboration. This setup allows us for more flexibility and work-life balance.
Please note that due to the holidays, there may be a slight delay in our response. We appreciate your patience and understanding!
