About the Role:
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our core team building our Accounting product and infrastructure. This team allows us to operate on data that's clean, accurate, and verified; and allows both individual investors and large corporate VCs to fully trust us with their sensitive financials. As the EM, you will be leading this team to fully solve this complex challenge, leveraging advances in AI to create greater efficiencies.

You will:
- Help build the world's easiest-to-use financial platform
- Learn the venture financing business inside and out - from the ground up.

You have:
- 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
- Experience in a numbers-centric domain (accounting, payroll, invoicing, etc.), and interest in the math behind engineering
- A ability to move fast, prioritize, and constantly make critical decisions with a high level of ambiguity.
- A self-starter mentality; you have started something on your own before or solved a major problem without being asked— a startup, an open-source project, something else.
- A deep love of startups (https://venturehacks.com/save-the-world).
How success will be measured:
- Leads technical direction and project planning with clarity and alignment across stakeholders.
- Supports and grows team members through coaching, feedback, and technical guidance.
- Drives delivery of complex projects while maintaining a high bar for code quality, scalability, and reliability.

AngelList has offices in a few cities, with our engineering hub in San Francisco. We’re building our engineering and product teams around this hub to make the most of in-person collaboration. We have a hybrid in-office model: teammates come in at least 2 days per week (Tuesdays and either Wednesday or Thursday).
Compensation: The compensation for this role consists of a competitive base salary, benefits, and equity package. The base salary for this role is $240,000+ annually but actual will vary based on a number of factors including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Additional details about our Total Rewards package will be provided during the recruitment process.
