Fully responsible for successful execution of Engineering Bid Projects.

  • Technology responsible during project lifecycle until project handover.
  • Technology representation is various forums
  • Technology analysis and approval of deviations in contract conditions and performance warranties
  • Scope: Siemens-Gamesa Wind-Farms bids and projects in India and Sri Lanka
  • Provide engineering support and solutions to several Siemens-Gamesa internal and external clients in order to satisfy client's needs and ensure Siemens-Gamesa objectives.
  • Resolve technical problems and questions from clients or sales department.
  • Project management of product development and technical marketing projects. Includes management of consultants performing contract work.
  • Technical support of sales department in the negotiation of new projects.
  • Analyze the technical content of new contracts and tenders for new wind farms to find out deviations and potential risks between product requested and product available.
  • Technical negotiation with the client during project development after close of the contract.
  • Support Product Management activities by assessing and reporting on the technology demands of the market.
  • Support Due Diligence reporting by Independent Engineering firms.
  • Development of training material and provide training for sales team and others.
  • Resolve construction issues such as foundation design approvals and change proposals from the client.
  • Manage site assessment, electrical and grid connection technical support.
  • Manage foundation and mechanical technical support.
  • Resolve technical issues born from interpretation of national and international standards.
  • Project management of wind farm Power Curve Tests.
  • Act as liaison between Siemens-Gamesa and the client, utilities, local authorities, and governmental departments.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Academic Requirement: Electrical / Mechanical Engineering degree and Master's in engineering or MBA
  • Languages: English
  • Experience: 10 to 14 Years (including minimum 6 to 8 years' experience in Wind industry)
