The Engineering Administrator performs administrative engineering tasks on a day-to-day basis. Supports engineering teams by managing documentation, coordinating project tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. They will facilitate workflow by maintaining records (BOMs, CAD drawings) and processing Engineering Change Notes (ECNs). Maintenance of the engineering design schedule is a major task along with assisting with cost estimating and quoting of products. Customer communications along with internal communications concerning P.O. item information is a primary task.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists with estimating and quoting process.
- Performs creation of product records, including routings, notes and BOM’s, in ERP system.
- Ability to maintain Design Schedule.
- Files and stores data both electronically and in hardcopy form.
- Creates product quotes for presentation to customers.
- Customer and internal communications.
- Perform other engineering or related duties as required
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Two Years Office Experience and/or Administrative courses preferred.
- Associates Degree Preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluency in English, both written and oral, is required. Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence, and customary business documents.
TECHNOLOGICAL SKILLS: Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
