VP, Software Engineering

Your Area of Focus

  • Own and drive the realization of our technology vision and strategy
  • Lead and direct the execution strategy of our products including new, innovative offerings 
  • Lead an organization of talented engineers through design, architecture, development, testing, and launch of cutting-edge products and technology while monitoring key metrics and measuring results
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and excellence throughout the organization
  • Define organizational priorities and strategies for product development
  • Think big and be bold while monitoring and understanding technology trends, and identify appropriate methods of incorporation into future products and technology
  • Partner with product management and other executives, understanding business drivers, market dynamics and competitive landscape to guide technology strategies
  • Mentor and grow high-potential leadership within the organization
  • Define and implement improvements in engineering processes, quality, and fundamental engineering approach
  • Directly manage and mentor director level engineering leadership
  • Lead a large and complex effort of a legacy migration to a next-generation cloud-based platform

 

Your Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum of 20 year of experience in the software engineering field with prior hands-on experience
  • Minimum of 12 years of product development leadership and management experience
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent required
  • Strong business depth with engineering expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary product development, including advancing our platform to a next generation cloud-based environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with the proven ability to inspire teams
  • Outstanding business management, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Experience managing a budget, balancing priorities, and making tough decision backed by data 
  • Proven ability to provide open and frequent communications at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage a diverse set of stakeholders and built trust across the organization
  • Proven track record of successfully building and delivering high quality, complex products within defined time constraints and within budget 
  • Experience successfully leading large technology transformational initiatives including moving to public cloud solutions
  • Ability to be bold and move fast with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to grasp new technologies quickly
  • Excels in a dynamic environment, being flexible and adaptive to changing customer and business needs
  • Experience making tough decisions in a fast paced environment
