ConvergePROSPERITY - InsurCloud IPT | Engineering Lead

This full-time Engineering Lead role within Deloitte's ConvergePROSPERITY offering will support Deloitte's InsurCloud asset. ConvergePROSPERITY partners with financial services institutions to help them meet their customers' needs for security, prosperity, convenience, personalization, and purposeful use of capital through a suite of digitally-enabled, scalable and integrated platforms and solutions.

As part of ConvergePROSPERITY, the InsurCloud team is building next generation digital products for our property and casualty insurance clients that will enable them to drive growth, increase profitability, and enhance their policyholders' experiences.

Work You'll Do

As the Engineering Lead working with our InsurCloud platform, you will play a critical role in designing and building products and solutions that extend core systems and create digital ecosystems for our insurance clients.

You will be responsible for analyzing and designing integrated solutions to meet complex business needs, working with customers and onsite/offshore team members to understand business objectives and functional requirements.

You will provide deep technical experience and lead the product development team in designing and building technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with our leadership team (and client leaders) to shape InsurCloud architecture design
  • Develop solutions to meet clients' needs based on the technical capabilities and work with the implementation and support teams to execute the implementation strategy
  • Design integrated solutions across multiple workstreams within a complex IT technical framework
  • Support development of the InsurCloud technical roadmap
  • Collaborate and implement most relevant (e.g. AWS) development tools/techniques to solve development issues and exceed client requirements
  • Build Eminence in the market, positioning Deloitte's InsurCloud products as go-to solutions for our insurance clients
  • Work with key subject matter experts to understand business processes and experiences
  • Manage full software development life cycle including understanding business requirements, performing solution design, coding, implementing the solution, and documenting software specifications

Qualifications

Required :

  • Overall 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • 3+ years of in-depth hands-on work experience with large-scale AWS implementations
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in design and development of SpringBoot Microservices
  • In-depth hands-on knowledge of AWS services such as S3, RDS, DynamoDB, MSK, EKS, EventBridge, Kinesis, Athena, QuickSight, SNS, SQS, AWS Connect, AWS Pinpoint etc.
  • Expert in cloud networking/security principles
  • Expert in containers and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience in translating high-level architecture to build ready artifacts
  • Experience in defining API specifications
  • Experience in SAFe/Agile

Preferred :

  • Experience in Insurance industry (P&C and/or L&A)
  • Experience in Istio service mesh
  • Experience in Cloud native optimization for reducing costs, increasing performance, hyper-acceleration, scalability, and elasticity
  • AWS-Certified Professional
  • Experience in DevSecOps and cloud infrastructure automation
  • Experience in other cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

• The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $89,000-$171,000.

o You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
