Maintains full ownership of the up keeping of the ELK based monitoring platform of a large enterprise echo system consisting hundreds of services running on diverse platforms.
What will your job look like?
• You will be implementing, maintaining & administering ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana) stack solutions and tools in multi node cluster environments.• You will create and managing Elasticsearch Index schema's and mappings.• You will develop logstash pipelines to parse the ingested data.• You will develop ML pipeline required for time series models for alerting systems.• You will develop data pipeline for extraction, analysis, labeling, dataset versioning, model evaluation and deployment.• You will assist implementation and administration of Elastic Platform on Kubernetes.• You will configure beats and possibly other ELK Stack components to collect and store the Metrix data. • You will work on Linux environment to configure and maintain ELK on Linux operating systems including system configurations, security/os patching, scaling, and version upgrades.• You will partnership with application teams to complete required tools installation and ELK updates, patches, version upgrades when required.• You will work with on-prem and Azure cloud infrastructures for the integration, maintaining and migrate of ELK clusters.• You will work on cloud and on-prem monitoring and APM tools like Insight, TAPM, Prometheus & Grafana.• You will do performance tuning of ELK clusters, indices and shards.• You will be responsible for providing Customer Operations engineering team with a stable logging and monitoring platform.• You will implementing measures to maintain high performance and uninterrupted availability of the ELK clusters, and other APM platforms. • You will collaborate with Incident Mgmt and operational team to troubleshoot and resolve ELK Platform issues within set SLAs.• You will implement intelligence to create Alerts using Log Analyzer and other APM tools to detect and notify system abnormalities.• You will guide and help operation team in creation and optimization of custom queries, saved searches, visualizations, and dashboards in Kibana UI and other APM tools.
All you need is...
• 4-6 years' experience as a Software Engineer Supporting ELK platform for large enterprise application monitoring.• Must have experience in real time trouble shooting and resolution of critical production issues related to large ELK based monitoring system. • Must have experience implementing, maintaining & administering ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana) stack solutions and tools in multi node cluster environments. • Must have experience creating custom queries, saved searches, alerts, visualizations, and dashboards in Kibana UI.• Must have experience on AI and ML related tools like Neural Networks, Long Short-term Memory (LSTM), Keras, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn.• Must be proficient in Linux commands.• Must have experience working in Linux environment to configure and maintain ELK on Linux operating systems including system configurations, security/os patching, scaling, and version upgrades.• Must be Knowledgeable/familiar with networking concepts for problem solving/troubleshooting effectively to resolve problems related to distributed ELK infrastructure.• Must have experience in access control, SSL/TLS configuration, certificates, SSO authentication technologies to use ELK and security aspects.• Must have experience on cloud monitoring tools or APM tools such as TAPM, AppDynamics, Prometheus & Grafana.• Must have Hands on experience with Scripting language, python, go, ruby, bash, or power shell..• Knowledge of Azure cloud is an advantage. • Knowledgeable/familiar with implementation and administration of Elastic Platform on Kubernetes. • Maintaining a positive and supportive work culture• Good facilitation skills and team-player attitude.• Must have strong Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to large audience including customer.• Ability to work under high pressure, and handle conflicting production requirements quickly.• Flexible to support late hours and weekend.
