Technology Architect
Job Description
As a Technology Architect you will Identify new enabling technologies and platforms to help solve technical challenges, and serve as a subject matter expert for one or more software solutions. Architect, deliver and support proof of concepts and pilots related to technology strategy. Research and advise on existing or emerging technologies and associated services and processes. Contribute to defining the vision, implementation and support strategies for technology roadmap and domain architecture. Evaluate and support third party technology and vendor strategies to support solution requirements, prepare and leverage proper documentation compliant with standard operating procedures, define user needs, and provide input to functional design, testing, troubleshooting and basic system management and support, assess risks and mitigation strategies within the technology architecture.

Hybrid or Remote
This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- At least 6 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
- At least 1 year of System engineering and/or system architecture work experience
- At least 5 years of additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education including:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent related work experience
Expectations
- Willing to travel up to 60% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
