The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking a Systems Engineering Principal to be part of a team to serve as a key interface between the design, systems engineering, Assembly, Test and Launch Operations (ATLO) teams.

In this role you will:• Support Space Vehicle test activities in space vehicle factory and at Launch Site• Facilitate anomaly investigations to closure• Perform data reviews to test and integration teams• Engage in travel and off-shift support• Find opportunities for build flow and test efficiencies• Provide autonomous review and cross-program coordination to ensure subsystem designs are mechanically compatible• Cultivate system level mechanical design, manufacture, test, and production solutions across the program• Provide technical leadership to subordinate level personnel through implementation of assigned and Internal Research and Development projects

Basic Qualifications
• Experience and full knowledge of the following system engineering processes and Integration functions:
1. Knowledge of requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
2. System Integration
3. Planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
4. Design reviews• System design experience with one or more subsystems in the Mechanical field• Mechanical design and fieldwork • Knowledge of electrical interfaces• Experience leading a multi-disciplined teams• Active or Current DoD Secret Security clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required.)

Desired skills
• Experience with Ground-Based Midcourse Defense / Ground-Based Interceptor / Minute-Man III Silo integration experience• 9+ years with spacecraft/missile design, development, integration, or test, with knowledge of space, missile, and launch at the component through system level• Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning expertise and stackups• Electrical Design experience• Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware products throughout the full life cycle of the program• Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or Delegate CPE for mechanical structures or similar and Material Review (EMRB) experience; ability to interact with hardware CPEs and designers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied• CAD Proficiency (I-DEAS, Creo, etc.)• Active or Current DoD Top Secret Security clearance

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate:
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $102,400 - $170,600 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
