The Boeing Company is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager based out of Plano, Texas.
This unique position provides an exciting career opportunity to participate in the complete product development lifecycle, from the identification of new business opportunities through the launch of a new avionics system. This position is for a Systems Engineer Manager to join Boeing AvionX.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.


This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience in either MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-461, DO-160, IEC-61000, and FCC part 15
  • 2+ years of experience with DO-178c software compliance standards
  • 2+ years of experience with s ystems engineer, leading systems engineering, integration and test activities
  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing projects internationally
  • 2+ years of experience leading system architecture and model development in an MBSE tool using SysML
