Systems Engineer - TS/SCI

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Systems Engineer supporting the Government, you will be a part of a team charged with hands-on testing, verifying, creating, and building out new configurations in the JWICS Modernization Lab before introduction into the live environment.
In this role, a typical day may include:
- Performing continual maintenance and provides highly complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems.
- Providing engineering support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client systems and network devices.
- Resolving a wide range of system issues, troubleshooting software, hardware, diagnosis of network issues, and addressing escalated trouble tickets and service tasks.
- Guiding users in formulating requirements, advising alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies.
- Guiding system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
- Revising existing systems, testing functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintaining more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input requirements, and storage.
- Participating in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation.
- Providing the documentation, testing, and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations.
- Attending weekly meetings and providing status reports.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly.
- Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security.
- Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, including Granting Privileged Access, Configuring Active Directory Services (ADDS), Group Policy, Objects, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), File Sharing services, Active roles Server (ARS)
- Experience creating quality Detailed Design documents, Test Plans, Implementation Plans and/or Standard Operating Procedures
- Experience with Unix, Windows, and/or Storage
- Strong ability to work with others and be a positive influence and role model in a fast-paced dynamic team environment is required
- Possess skills to manage exceptionally complex, inter-disciplinary, and inter-organizational tasks
