About the Role
As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for Development and Deployment of PKI @ Uber solution that runs on multiple platforms including OpenSSL, Microsoft and EJBCA. You are responsible for release of new Features, Automation, Workflows, Config management on the systems supporting Uber Enterprise IAM infrastructure.
This is a critical role involving identity certs for User, Device and Services.
About the Team
Enterprise IAM team is responsible for running Enterprise IAM program governance for all Uber internal applications, Micro Services, APIs. We keep Uber moving by providing Authentication and Authorization technologies, Cryptography services and Core technology services to various teams at Uber.
What the Candidate Will Do
• You will be supporting all Uber Engineering Services with corporate focus, Business users, Devices, IoTs both internal and external.• Engineer, Configure, Implement and maintain PKI services spanning Microsoft, EJBCA, OpenSSL and other Open Source platforms• Manage Certs Life Cycle Managment through automation, Workflow orchestration.• Creative problem solving: Distill the vision and strategy for the team, generate passion across the multi-functional team through creative problem solving and dedicated prioritization• Maintain and Manage Platform Services and Developer Operational tasks for infrastructure automation.• Implement, maintain, run and fix operational issues and provide Tier 0 oncall support.
Basic Qualifications
• Experience in Systems engineering specialized in design and architecture of highly available systems and technologies, with programming expertise in Python, GoLang, .Net, Java, JS and xml technologies.• Solid understanding on Cryptography, Public Key Infrastructure, Encryption, Certificate Life Cycle Management.• Must have strong SQL development skills to integrate and develop custom integration solutions to the backend systems.• Strong software development skills on Python or Go for application development.• Candidates need to be proficient in iOS development, application design philosophies (MVC, MVVM, etc.), source code management (git), clean API design.
Preferred Qualifications
• 3+ Years working experience in Devops, Linux, Puppet and Infrastructure automation• Minimum 5 years of customer support or relevant prior experience in troubleshooting, managing, high-priority issues.• Experience in configuration Windows and Linux based systems, Config management• Experience in Web and Middleware technologies such as Nginx, Tomcat, Weblogic• Experience in traffic management, Service and Session Load balancing skills primarily on HAProxy, NLB and F5 are an added advantage.• Ability to establish trust with shareholders• Comfortable working in a large code base with many contributors• Relevant Certifications from the Industry and Technology such as Cryptography, PKI, CISSP, NIST, AWS or Azure infrastructure and DevOps areas.
