As an Integration Solution Architect you will also be responsible for leading discussions, preparing requirements, specifications, business process flows and providing recommendations based on your professional experience and understanding of industry best practices, and company policies and procedures. You will play a meaningful role in architecting, automating, designing, enhancing, and maintaining effective and scalable integration technology solutions across all platforms and departments. This is a technical hands-on role.
Ideal work location is Raleigh - Durham NC. But also open to remote location within the US.
You will...
- Lead the definition and scoping of Integration solutions from both Product-led and Engineering-led project requirements, evaluating options and their tradeoffs
- Design and define API interfaces and integrations across a large suite of SaaS products, datasets, and services.
- Own complete lifecycle of delivery including architecture, design, documentation, development, peer review, test, and iteration of integration solutions, middleware services, and data migration tasks
- Play a major role in implementation, installation, performance monitoring, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and administration of Enterprise Middleware infrastructure at GRAIL.
- Support, develop and expand upon critical new capabilities in the Middleware platform, always with an eye on the future
- Collaborate with multiple departments with the organization to ensure team cohesion and consistency of solutions
- Select and demonstrate platforms and best-of-breed tools to accelerate the company's technical development and deliver value.
- Define and document technical environment and deployment methodologies to enable integrated solutions. Advise IT and other business processes regarding the feasibility of proposed approaches to project solutions in terms of systems capabilities and established technology architecture guidelines.
- Lead research and development, as well as proof of concepts for solving business problems or concepts not addressed by existing technology stacks.
- Ensures uniformity across IT systems infrastructure to enable effective application integration capabilities. Champions the deployment of enterprise-wide systems management processes, techniques, and service management practices.
- Interact with and influences leaders in IT, engineering, and business functions; effectively rally cross-departmental teams to tackle difficult challenges; establish relationships with key architects across organizations and collaborate on promoting architectural best practices across technology
- Assist on technical proofs of concept (POCs) to prove out the technology and ultimately lead into a scalable solution.
Your background should include..
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certifications/experience required Or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of integration experience required
- Experience designing resilient and highly performant integrations in a globally distributed environment
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
- Experience developing SOAP and REST-based web service
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, PL/SQL a plus
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Architecture with practical experience working in Azure, Google or AWS
- Experience working in an Agile environment preferred
- Experience using other integration tools like Amazon Integration Services, Boomi, Mulesoft, Informatica, is a plus
- Strong integration technical skills with hands-on design, development, testing, and deployment in enterprise applications
- Experience working in a multi-tier data delivery environment preferred
- Experience working with cloud/on-prem and hybrid cloud solutions
- Experience with automated deployment
- Experience developing APIs and API Management
