General Summary
As a leader in the Engineering IT organization, you will be responsible for leading development, innovation, and optimization efforts to support Qualcomm's HW & SW Engineering environments. This includes but are not limited to path finding with new technologies, efforts to optimize, create and implement Qualcomm's next generation engineering environments both on-prem and in the cloud.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to working as manager, a team member, and a technical team lead to explore, define, and pilot new solutions, architectures, and processes. In these roles you will collaborate closely with IT, EDA, hardware design team and stakeholders to influence the roadmap of new solutions and efficiency improvements enabling Qualcomm's hybrid compute and build environments, effectively communicating to pier groups and executive management.

Responsibilities (Role): • Work with both internal and external teams to explorer new technologies.• Contribute to the development of Qualcomm's HPC and SW Build computing & storage architecture. • Communication with both internal and external stakeholders.• Develop a roadmap to improve efficiency of HW & SW engineering environments including storage, server, and OS components• Collaborate with engineering on the design and development of future software initiatives. • Provide periodic training to Engineers and Administrators on our grid solutions.• Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. • Action driven with strong analytical and analytical skills. • Desire to be involved in multiple diverse and innovative projects.

Ways to stand out from the crowd• Experience leading a highly technical team supporting SW or HW Engineering environments• Experience implementing new technologies • Experience working with or maintaining EDA workflows or SW Engineering build environments

Physical Requirements• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Work Experiences:

10+ years IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor's degree

8+ years IT-relevant work experience with Bachelor's degree

5+ years supervisory or leadership experience.
