Sr. Site Reliability Engineer
Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:
- Improve and maintain infrastructure including continuous build environments running in Jenkins or ArgoCD.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues with a focus on resolving problems quickly with minimal impact to customers and developers.
- Build tools to improve developer productivity and contribute ideas to continuously improve Vivint Technology.
- Manage processes, systems and infrastructure, leveraging best practices and security.
- Monitor and manage service reliability, availability, and performance.
- Support and troubleshoot Linux and Windows Virtual Machines and Containers.
- Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
- Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications
- Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions
- Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
- Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large distributed software applications
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience with code management and deployment processes (CI/CD), procedures, and tools, preferably with Jenkins.
- Familiar with source management tools such as git and Bitbucket/GitLab to perform operations such as branching and labeling.
- Automation scripting for build and release processes
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- A strong grasp of configuration management and automation tools including Terraform.
- A pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Strong teamwork and collaborative skills
- Flexibility in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
