Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking a motivated and incentivized senior network engineer to support a critical U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Software, Simulations, Systems, and Integration (S3I) Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) laboratory. The candidate will provide technical solutions to new and old network architectures with an expectation of achieving technical results. Additionally, this Torch team member will be considered a key player in recommending technical solutions for decisions related to the network architecture for test tools, simulations, and tactical architectures.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
• DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
• Suggest and perform critical updates to network firmware
• Provide technical insight and leadership to resolve network issues
• Ability to perform network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting of network components such as routers, switches, and firewalls
• Perform network and system vulnerability scans using tools such as HBSS and ACAS
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise in virtual environments
• Demonstrate and remain technically relevant on network engineering concepts, methods, and techniques
• Understands security-related issues and provide recommended solutions
• Interact with Government leadership and external organizations to provide unbiased recommended solutions
• Maintain expertise on current networking technologies
• Experience with DNS and DHCP management and troubleshooting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented teammate and presentation skills
• Experience managing
  • Cisco Nexus platforms
  • Cisco IOS and NX-OS
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelor of Science in STEM Field - (15-25 years of experience)
• Experience using protocol analyzers/sniffers (such as Wireshark or Solarwinds)
• Knowledge of TCP/IP behavior, network communications and routing protocols, and network traffic analysis
• Understanding of standard DOD security practices such as STIG/RMF compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts
• Understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF
• Experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs (Microsoft and VMware)
• Hands-on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Cisco and Juniper)
• Industry vendor certifications from Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CCSP)
• Linux administration and Windows administration is a plus
• Knowledge/experience of data center networking and storage systems
