Job Description Spectrum Core team are looking for a talented Full Stack developer to join development team. The successful candidate:

• Curious, detail-oriented, and motivated by complex analytical problems
• Interested in all things technology, and have ability to communicate with opinionated technologists across the company
• Will be part of the development team that oversees a #1 application used in AM
• Comfortable learning new

Must have qualifications:

• 5+ years of Experience in server-side development with Java 8 or above. We use Java with Spring and will be going to JDK 11 soon.
• Experience with Messaging (JMS or Kafka)
• Experience with web technologies: React and other web tech HTML5/CSS/JavaScript/TypeScript, WebPack, node, npm
• Experience with single page apps connecting to REST / API services.
• Demonstration of 'quality first' software engineering process experience: code reviews, Test Driven Design (TDD), automated unit/integration test, CI / CD systems
• Strong automated testing discipline
• Respect for modern software development concepts such as SOLID principals - software design is important
• Fearlessness and embrace of all things Computer Science and awareness of wide-range of technologies - we love automating everything
• Ability to independently deliver features

Plusses:

• Experience with SRE/monitoring - respect for resiliency
• Typescript programming experience
• ElasticSearch
• Cassandra
• Kube with AWS + EKS
• Experience working in agile delivery teams (Scrum a bonus)
• Knowledge of Spring, Junit (Mockito or Powermock)
• Strength in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Scripting - PowerShell and Python, others
• Understanding of security concerns online and off
