About The Role

We are looking for creative, enthusiastic, and collaborative professionals who don't shy away from hard problems. Our ideal candidate is an experienced data analyst or client delivery engineer with strong coding (Python) skills. This is a customer-facing, technical role that partners with our customers from pre-sales to post-sales to deliver solutions that help our customers to fully leverage the capabilities of our platform and to identify how we can continue to extend those capabilities as we scale.

To accomplish this, you will collaborate closely across core teams at Groundspeed to create feedback loops and identify where in the pipeline issues and enhancements are needed to better enable our customers, including other engineering teams, Customer Success, Sales, Operations, and Product, to name a few. You can think of Solutions Engineers as Groundspeed’s internal consultants - they work to bring together our customers’ needs, design solutions to enable our customers, and provide feedback across the company to ensure our product continues to grow and scale alongside our customers.

What You’ll Do

• Engage directly with our customers to enable them to fully leverage our platform by providing technical thought leadership during both the pre-sales conversations and post-sales implementation and expansion
• Collaborate across other engineering teams on a regular cadence to create feedback loops to ensure architectural consistency as customer solutions and feedback are implemented across teams and applications
• Lead customer onboarding and develop customer extract applications
• Participate in architecture review, technical planning, and the requirements gathering phases of projects
• Identify, triage, and manage customer issues from intake to resolution
• Demonstrate a deep technical understanding of Groundspeed’s capabilities, processing rules, data enrichments, and limitations and can clearly communicate those to customers
• Act as an advocate for and voice of the customer as part of ongoing product development and solution design

We’re Looking For

• Significant experience working directly with customers in a technical capacity
• Strong experience with Python, AWS, and modern application and service architecture preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
• Knowledge of agile software development and continuous integration/deployment principles
• Persistent against challenges, quick to debug, and identifies problems to solve before users encounter issues
• Chooses tools and technologies for efficiency and performance, and understands trade-offs associated with those choices
• Understands the business impact of technical decisions and is empathetic to the user experience
• Previous experience in the insurance industry is a plus
