Software Engineering Team Lead, Fundraising - Role:
We are seeking a technically strong team lead for our fundraising domain. This includes technical services that enable our end user products, and the end user products themselves. Deliver quality by clarifying goals to teams, supporting and coaching developers, working with stakeholders across business units, and occasionally being hands-on in order to get across the finish line.
This is a great opportunity to mentor and grow developers of all levels and expertise, as well as grow in your career as a technical leader. We are looking for a professional that believes in servant leadership, and enabling teams to tap into their expertise when solving problems. Someone technical who helps remove obstacles and avoids being a bottleneck.
We are transitioning out of a legacy Ruby on Rails application and into a service architecture using NodeJS. Our frontend products utilize VueJS, GraphQL, and our internal UI toolkit. This role will help balance prioritization between technical modernization of product and new feature development.
Software Engineering Team Lead, Fundraising - Responsibilities:
- Work within our Fundraising domain, helping teams build products and supporting services
- Work closely with engineering and product managers to plan out upcoming projects
- Consult engineering management, suggesting ways to improve
- Provide clarity to the team through setting technical goals
- Support team to achieve delivery commitments
- Prioritize security, compliance, high availability, quality, and continuous monitoring
- Help hire top quality talent
- Provide progress clarity and KPI metrics to upper management
- Experiment with new ideas and technologies
- Grow Junior Developers
- Work closely with the teams to make sure they have all that they need to be successful
- Work along side devs, delivering solutions
Software Engineering Team Lead FinTech - Qualifications:
- 3+ years mentoring or leading developers (can also be management experience)
- 5+ years individual contributor experience or more across the full stack, preferably utilizing NodeJS
- Experience developing high availability, PCI compliant, distributed software
- Clear understanding distributed system architectures vs monoliths
- Experience in full cycle development - building, delivering, maintaining
- Experience with various monitoring tools and how to use the data to make improvements
- Continuous Delivery experience and deployment techniques such as blue/green releases, canary releases, etc
- Expert knowledge of Git, and Git best practices
