This is a senior-level, highly technical lead position where the candidate will be responsible for understanding requirements, planning, designing solutions, modernizing, implementing, enabling, and supporting the cloud solutions and automation for the Line of business. The candidate must be able to build teams, lead team members, multiple projects, and agile processes. The candidate will focus on delivering secure, resilient, and compliant cloud solutions that enable teams to deliver maximum value to the business. With a high focus on automation, the candidate will leverage existing industry best practices as well as lead the development of new best practices to enable technical innovation in the financial services industry.

The ideal candidate will be independent, motivated, self-driven, result-oriented, and act as an agent of change. They must act as an influencer, be pragmatic, function as a team mentor and player, able to handle multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment and should have the highest level of integrity and a proven track record of success and leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Responsible for technical resource recruitment, retention, and onboarding for teams needed to support providing cloud solutions for the Line of Business.
  • Responsible for enabling the team to meet its expected outcome by supporting them in problem identification, root cause analysis, and decision-making.
  • Responsible for identifying, teaching, or sponsoring the required technical skills needed to support the development of high-quality cloud solutions.
  • Via automation and other means, lead teams in implementing cloud initiatives/solutions on behalf of Line of Business.
  • Build and foster collaborative relationships and communication channels among business partners responsible for deploying cloud solutions.
  • Strong experience deploying solution to the cloud using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Solution Design - For assigned projects, the candidate must work with the line of business to define and manage implementation designs including system diagrams, data models and business process diagrams as well as engage with enterprise and security architects for design collaboration and review for software build and deployment automation.
  • Solution Implementation - Oversee the implementation of projects to ensure the implementation is consistent with design decisions, standards, and best practices.
  • Performance Metrics - Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to promulgate success factors for the entire software portfolio. Risk Management - managing different audit requirements for compliance and remediating any audit issues that may arise.
  • Disaster Recovery - implementing and testing the DR plans for the Cloud solution.
  • Change/Release Management - Knowledge of ITIL tools (e.g., ServiceNow) for operational and service efficiency.


QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree and equivalent education and experience, which could include any combination of eight years of experience in IT software engineering, five years' relevant business experience (i.e. making technical-related decisions on the business side), five years' experience in project management, and at least two years of management experience
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of technology trends, competitive environment, regulatory requirements and trends, and IT strategies employed to continually meet the demands of clients and regulators
  • Ability to translate enterprise level strategic planning information into software and data management needs, create business plans, and turn them into effective business solutions
  • Executive level communications skills, including, strong negotiation/facilitation/presentation skills and experience negotiating with vendors for relevant products and service
  • Ability to solve unique and highly complex technical, operational, and organizational problems
  • Ability to lead and manage the performance of multiple teams against a set of financial and operational objectivesExperience managing projects with enterprise-wide implications from conception through implementation


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience working in IT organizations, preferably in financial services organizations
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise software development lifecycle
  • 7+ years of experience in software development, build/release management, and change/incident management
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration
  • Experience with enterprise SDLC tools
  • Experience creating runbooks as well as software build/deployment best practices
  • Achieved one or more of the Public Cloud Associate-level certifications or Professional-level certifications
  • Expert understanding of Cloud Industry concepts and services such as but not limited to: XaaS, IAM, IAAA, Serverless, Disaster Recovery, DevOps, Server, Storage, and Networking
  • Strong people management and team building skills
  • Strong knowledge of the ITIL process is a plus
  • Extensive participation in Agile/Scrum best practices and methodology
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to think and plan long term, but execute to these goals in short-term
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation
  • Championed organizational changes and created an environment where people willingly participate in initiatives and programs
  • Self-starter that demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Proven ability to identify and remove large obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
  • Ability to grow and mentor new and existing staff members to be productive technology leaders
  • Proven project management and customer service skills; demonstrated planning and organization skills
  • Highly effective collaboration skills and ability to operate across organizational disciplines
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong formal presentation skills


OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS

Visual / Audio / Speaking

Able to access and interpret client information received from the computer and able to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone.

Manual Dexterity / Keyboarding

Able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers.

Availability

Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.

Travel

Up to 50%
