FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Software Engineer Senior in Durham, NC, to produce detailed designs from business requirements. Make project design decisions based on project requirements. Produce artifacts such as analysis and design documents relating to customizations of the Clear2Pay and FIS applications. Perform hands on code development for customizations and extensions to software where required. Work with Documentation team writers to document customizations to the core Clear2Pay and FIS applications. Work with Quality Assurance to ensure complete test coverage of customizations to the core Clear2Pay and FIS applications. Work with Customer Support to ensure smooth transition to production. Maintain knowledge transfer through wiki and other mechanisms. Mentor and train junior members of the Clear2Pay/FIS development staff. Perform code reviews for peers on the Clear2Pay/FIS development staff. Provide input to the refinement and evolution of the Clear2Pay/FIS software platform.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: managing application development project lifecycle from inception to transition; utilizing J2EE technology; utilizing application servers including BEA WebLogic or IBM WebSphere; building J2EE web applications using MVC patterns; interfacing with external systems through messaging mechanisms including JMS or WebServices; utilizing database concepts and technologies including SQL and JDBC; utilizing JUnit testing framework to test code; producing analysis and design artifacts using Rational Rose; utilizing version control systems, HTML, Javascript, and XML-related technologies.
