WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As Software Engineer I, you'll focus on crafting and developing applications for our Consumer Services team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining systems in our voice and telephony space. You will bring a broad experience of successfully delivering value and your contributions will help Nike increase productivity, realize efficiencies, and build profitable consumer experiences. We're looking for people who are passionate about developing web-scale applications in the cloud.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Successfully operate within our engineering environment and help it evolve over time.
- Review your peers' technical designs, code, and tests, giving encouraging feedback and asking good questions.
- Work in a collaborative environment that rewards experiments, initiative, curiosity, and mentoring.
- Use your database knowledge to design data storage for security, reliability, availability, maintainability, and performance.
- Practice DevOps ensuring a culture of testing and releasing software on AWS continuously using automation and monitoring.
- Partner with other engineering and product teams to loosely couple and scale the service ecosystem.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience and training within voice/telephony
- Proven experience with IVA/IVR systems
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Dedication to performing technical code reviews
- Experience writing automated unit tests using tools like Jasmine or Mocha / Chai
- Ability to maintain the build and deployment processes through use of build integration tools.
- Experience developing in a continuous integration environment using Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity CI frameworks is preferred.
- Experience designing instrumentation into code and using and integrating with software & logging analysis tools such as New Relic & Splunk is preferred.
Open to remote work, except cannot work in South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate.
