A Software Engineer job in Phoenix, AZ is currently available at Belcan. This Software Engineer position will have a strong focus on Hardware/Software Test. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered, you will need a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience. In this job, you will support development and coding of Python Hardware/Software Testing. Strong skillset and industry knowledge to develop solutions. Solid work experience demonstrated in understanding and applying technical principles within field of expertise. Receives some technical direction or supports project development and implementation, with minimal direction.

Software Engineer job duties include:• Use your skills and expertise to define, design, develop, code and improve cutting-edge hardware/software tests.• Perform design, coding, debugging, and troubleshooting of hardware/software tests used to support development embedded software.• Develop software documentation including but not limited to: Software Requirements Specification, Software Design Descriptions, Software UML Models, and Software User Guides.• Support Hardware-Software Integration Team, Simulation Team and Flight Controllers through Joint Tests with NASA, Qualification of the Software, training of Flight Controllers and support during missions.

Job Qualifications:• Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline• Experience with Python• Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral• Self-motivated, adaptable, and highly organized to thrive on this team, and if you are, you will earn responsibility, ownership, and enjoy job satisfaction.• US Citizenship only

Desired Skills:• Experience with large Space Design Programs or Space Flight Operations.• Experience using SysML/UML to create Software Designs.• Experience Testing and debugging on both Software in the Loop (SITL) and Hardware in the Loop (HITL, on target platform) environments.• Experience with Configuration Management platforms (GIT, SVN)• Understanding of ARINC 653, Google Test, Continuous Integration, Automated Test, and RTCA/DO-178C principles• Communications skills, including verbal, virtual, presentation, and written are critical to your success in this role.• Ability to travel periodically
