Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be part of a team that creates and delivers HP Office Printing Solutions Extensibility Software and SDK components intended for 3rd party solution partner use. One of the key roles would be to work across multiple teams to Triage, root cause and resolve Urgent Customer escalations on Extensibility platforms.

• Analyze firmware and software logs, determine root cause of reported issues based on knowledge of overall architecture of the product or solution.
• Write and execute representative test applications to demonstrate the reported behavior.
• Collaborate and communicate with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding issue resolution.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Skills & Requirements:

• Understanding and Knowledge of AWS or similar Cloud environments.
• Strong general-purpose coding skills using C# and/or Java is required.
• Experience with Git and knowledge of GitHub workflows such as branching, pull-requests, code-reviews, etc. Candidates familiar with the use, design, and maintenance of CI pipelines and other DevOps experience is highly desired.
• Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills.
• Familiarity with C++, Linux, embedded systems, and general FW development lifecycle is encouraged.
• Typically 3-5 years of related work experience required

Education Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
