Position Description

Serco is seeking a Software Assurance (SwA) Lead to join the team in Huntsville, AL to support our Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customer! The position operates at the RedStone Arsenal supporting the Missile Defense Agency's Cybersecurity Compliance and Risk Management program.

The mission of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends from missile attacks in all phases of flight.

In this role, the Software Assurance (SwA) Lead will:

• Guide a team of SwA Analysts providing assessments during independent verification and validation supporting system authorization and software approvals
• Provide SwA analysts with guidance and assistance during assessments
• Review Application Security using the DISA Application Security and Development STIG
• Manage the team's work tasks and schedules
• Perform quality control on SwA assessment reports
• Coordinate with other team leads to consolidate SwA findings into a system level risk assessment

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Active DoD Secret Clearance and be eligible for Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, and Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
• A cybersecurity certification equivalent to IASAE Level II per DoD 8570.01-M
• Eight (8) years of experience

Preferred qualifications:

• Working knowledge of eMASS, ASD DISA STIGS and STIG-Tools and RMF process, package development, and assessment & authorization
• Understanding of US Government Cybersecurity/IA policies and procedures
• Effective oral and written communication skills for working within a team environment
• Understanding of NIST 800-53/800-218 controls and the DISA Application Security and Development (ASD) STIG
• Experience leading a small team
• Ability to communicate with senior leaders and executives
• Understanding of DevSecOps and Agile development technologies
