SAIC has an opening for a SharePoint Architect in Huntsville AL. This exciting opportunity will be supporting a large DoD customers Chief Information Office (CIO

This is a full time hybrid position. Most daysthe employee will work remotely, but must be able to travel to Huntsville, AL (sometimes on short notice) for meetings, etc. when required by customer.

This position can use an alternate work schedule with every other Friday off.

Job Overview:
Candidates will serve as the SharePoint Architect migrating the organization from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2019. Responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of the organizational SharePoint solutions. They will work with a staff of three or four SharePoint Developers and Administrators. The CIO organization establishes the architecture and standards that customer organizations follow, but who have their own developers.

Key duties/responsibilities include:

  • Architect, design, test, and implement multiple on-premise SharePoint solutions
  • Troubleshoot problems with plugins/workflow and changes introduced with the latest version
  • Build workflows and migrate content from several older versions of SharePoint to newly architected and deployed system to include migration of sites, lists, and data.
  • Lead the analysis, documentation, planning and execution of the content migration.
  • Work with customers to design and develop user interfaces, ensure site structure and functionality meets their needs.
  • Build relationships to provide better support for users
  • Work with Client to build better tools within SharePoint (BI tools, Dashboards, grafts, functional charts)
  • Define, develop, implement and document the management requirements of the document management capability, e.g., custom content types, policies and metadata.
  • Document current structure and Future Enterprise Site Structure.
  • Create web-oriented applications, developing coding constructs, frameworks, components and interfaces supported by the SharePoint environment.
  • Review daily logs for server errors or stoppage.
  • Install and maintain/patch development SharePoint VMs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and outages.
  • Use PowerShell installation scripts for SharePoint farm maintenance.
  • Ensure SharePoint data model encompasses data confidentiality, integrity, and availability across all devices (Information Security)

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with administering SharePoint Server 2013/2016/2019 in a DoD Environment.
  • Experience with configuring SP 2019 and SPO Features i.e. Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI
  • Experience in the care & feeding, sustainment, and modernization of the SP Farm as well as integration with applicable SP dependencies (AD, ADFS, IIS, SQL)
  • Experience in aligning web app config, content DB, and site collection support to MS best practices.
  • Experience in configuring and sustaining SharePoint Service applications for an Enterprise Farm.
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer, Nintex Forms and Workflows, Secure Store, Office Online Server, and Project Server.
  • Experience with Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS). - Experience in running SharePoint Hotfixes/Updates and CU's (patches), and knows the differences.

Clearance Requirement

  • Candidate must have the ability to obtain a full Secret clearance; Minimum of an Interim Secret clearance required to start.

Certifications:

Must have a current COMPTIA Security+ certification

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
