We are currently looking for an experience front-end software engineer to join our platform engineering team to architect, implement and support web applications that enable Arc's customers to create, manage and sell digital subscription products with ease. The engineer will be responsible for building JS based applications in a serverless AWS environment. You will partner with product owners, architects, and Arc clients to build a world class, bleeding edge set of applications focused on delivering subscriptions, checkout, paywall, offer and campaign management. You will play a crucial role with opportunities to bring your unique ideas around development practices, testing and deployment strategies to the table.

Responsibilities

  • Stay abreast of front-end technology trends.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes used to deliver secure and reliable software solutions.
  • Be an example to the organization of professional software development practice.
  • Provide mentoring and technical leadership.
  • Define and evolve technical standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, product managers, and clients.
  • Translate evolving business and product goals into the technical roadmap, identifying opportunities, mitigating risks, and balancing competing stakeholder concerns.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years experience building highly-scalable customer facing applications
  • 5+ years experience working with HTML, CSS, Typescript, ES6, React and Redux
  • Experience working with Node.JS
  • Familiarity with continuous-integration tools and patterns.
  • Familiarity with serverless architecture, tools and patterns like AWS Lamdba.
  • Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks.
  • Experience analyzing application and cloud environment performance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills supported by effective written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with story-driven agile software development methodologies using incremental architecture and design.
