We are seeking an experienced engineer who takes pride in building great applications using the latest technologies. In this role, you will help build new features for our risk management platform and take a leadership role in decision-making around architecture. You will work with a team of engineers in an agile environment. You will collaborate with our scrum teams in the development of new and existing products and will interface with your team daily to offer guidance and support on industry best practices. We believe even the toughest problems can be solved with innovative solutions.

This is a full-time opportunity for a strong lead to embed within our existing scrum development teams to then form a separate agile team to expand our development capacity.

• Participate in pilot projects evaluating new cutting-edge technologies
• Support development effort estimation

About you and what skills you'll need

• East Coast Time Zone: We are a remote-first workforce but are giving priority to candidates currently based on the east coast due to our core business hours (9am-5pm ET) and collaborative efforts as an organization. At this time, we are unable to consider candidates based in other regions and appreciate your understanding
• Bachelor’s or Masters Degree
• 5+ years’ experience in developing customer facing SaaS products
• Strong understanding of React, Typescript and JavaScript
• Familiarity with Java, Spring, and Hibernate a plus
• Familiarity with Python and RoBERTa/MLM/NLP a plus
• Experience working with SQL
• Experience working with RESTful APIs (AJAX, JSON)
• Aptitude for learning new technologies
• Experience with CI/CD and Agile
