Belay Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SWE) (Full Stack) to join their top-tier team. The SWE will be responsible for API development; create and maintain API documentation for publication. The SWE will also design and code new software to modify existing software to add new features, as well as integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments. The SWE must be able to develop, update, and maintain 508 Compliant User Interfaces. The SWE must also develop services for existing or proposed databases or data repositories, review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results, provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components, and perform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

• TS/SCI with full scope polygraph is required.
• 20 years of experience in the SWE field or related scope.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
• OR 24 years total of software development experience may be substituted for candidates without a qualifying bachelor's degree.
• At least twenty (20) years in software development/engineering including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
  • The individual must be able to communicate directions and provide guidance to junior programmer/analysts, as required.

Candidates are required to have the following skills:

• Experience with JAVA
• Experience with Spring Framework
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience with Elasticsearch
• Experience designing and conducting software tests; including Unit, Integration, and System tests using Junit
• Experience with Linux (basic system administration knowledge)
• Experience responding to user issues
• Excellent organizational skills to keep track of emails and tickets
• Good interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact with software development team members
• Ability to work in a dynamically changing environment
• Experience with Agile methods, Scrum, and XP
• Maintaining knowledge of industry trends and standards
• Experience with JIRA
