The Job 

We are looking for a senior software engineer that is passionate about building and supporting the platform that abstracts the Invitae ordering life-cycle into a delightful platform of apis.  The ordering life-cycle for Invitae includes cart, requisition, pricing, results and report management.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building and maintaining distributed systems.
• Care deeply about high uptime and low latency.
• Comfortable designing novel systems.
• Runs towards problems to solve.
• Comfortable working autonomously.
• Security oriented.
• Comfortable with multiple programming languages.
• Comfortable with cloud infrastructure.
• 7+ years industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify solutions to ambiguous and open-ended problems.
• Define solutions and operational processes to level up the team.
• Coach less experienced teammates through mentorship, guidance and leading by example. 
• Lead core processes of the team (planning, on-call, bug-triage).
