The role
We are looking for a Senior Flutter Developer with a natural inclination to elegantly solve problems. As a member of the Mobile platform team, you will be responsible for improving our Mobile application and help members get their money right. You will get the chance to take on complex and interesting problems as part of a highly collaborative team. This is a high impact role that will work with different product engineering teams to work on shared components across the mobile platform. The ideal candidate will be a mentor and a team-player who is hands-on and comfortable driving solutions from initial architecture to final implementation with a strong sense of ownership and drive for delivery .
At SoFi, we pride ourselves on the collaboration between Product, Design and Engineering and so you will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through building, deploying and continual improvement and evolution.
What you'll do:
- Must be able to deliver high-quality code on schedule, communicate with groups in and outside the development team.
- Participating in code and design reviews
- Contribute cross-functional delivery teams to ensure deliverables are met.
- Track project performance against defined milestones/goals.
- Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders.
- Take initiative and produce timely results in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Make significant contributions to the code base.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science Degree or equivalent from a fully-accredited college or university
- 4+ years mobile programming experience including Flutter
- Git-based distributed version control systems
- Sound programming fundamentals: experience working with memory management, multi-threaded programming, and animations.
- Experience with Test-driven development along with unit and integration testing.
- Agile-based project development in a microservices environment
- Work and play well with others; SoFi is a collaborative environment
- Passion for solving complex problems
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with hybrid app development and Flutter.
- Experience with observability tools like DataDog and New Relic
- Experience with maintaining CI/CD pipelines and test-automation.
- Understanding of microservice architecture.

Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and location.
