Position Overview
Do you want to create engaging, helpful, attractive websites and eCommerce platform that are frequented by millions of visitors worldwide? Autodesk's Ecommerce Engineering team is looking for a talented Senior Fullstack engineer who is passionate about building and delivering innovative solutions into our common platform.

As part of the Ecommerce Engineering team, you will be implementing exciting new features that engage and influence Autodesk customers worldwide. Our team faces a variety of unique and interesting challenges, from creating new tools and components, implementing critical services, creating new and engaging end-user experiences, to digging into low-level performance details and streamlining processes.

As an ideal candidate, you have working on teams developing modern cloud based services, in a fast-paced, agile environment. You know how to build and guide highly effective and high-performing teams, while inspiring them to remain at the cutting edge.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop new features
  • Document architectural decisions and code design specifications
  • Focus on quality, including writing unit/integration tests and refactoring when appropriate
  • Break apart complex initiatives into manageable chunks
  • Work closely with architects, technical leads, product owners, and others to drive towards a common vision
  • Provide insightful leadership to achieve a high software engineering standard, including efficiency, quality, security, resiliency, and other best practices
  • Design and build solutions, frameworks, automation, and orchestration for a broad range of applications
  • Be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects
  • Collaborate with a geographically-dispersed team and stakeholders
  • Be a passionate and empathetic advocate of architecture, design and software engineering Principles



Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience (MS in Computer Science or a related degree is preferred)
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience in Java and/or Node.js
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong hands-on experience with key technologies and tools, such as CI/CD, spring technologies
  • Experience with scrum and agile development processes and methodologies
  • Proactive, quick decision maker with excellent communication and written skills



Preferred Qualifications

  • eCommerce experience
  • Advanced knowledge of public cloud service platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus
  • Knowledge of relational databases and NO SQL is very desirable

  • Enjoy designing & implementing highly scalable and highly available distributed systems
  • Write clean, testable, effective code and help others do it too - our language of choice is Java, Node
  • Hold yourself and others to high technical standards (design, architecture and implementation)
  • Passionate about learning new technologies and solving business problems using these technologies
