As a Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test, you will develop test strategies and create manual and automated test cases to thoroughly verify complex health care applications and data systems. Our connected care system spans from medical devices that a patient wears, through mobile apps, up to our back-end servers - so this is a challenging task, and one that requires very critical thinking to ensure the system performs well, and the data is correct.

A Day in the Life

  • Develop automation framework using Java, Junit and TestNG
  • Develop efficient test strategies to verify Mobile and cloud applications, and the data collected through remote medical devices.
  • Develop and execute automation tests using Appium, Cucumber and other automation tools that will accelerate our release cycles.
  • Create, document and execute test suites leveraging test management tools
  • Support field issue resolution by driving root-cause analysis and assessing bug-fix options
  • Contribute to process improvement and cross-organizational initiatives
  • Coordinate test activates with our vendor partners
  • Drive cross-team technical discussions and decision making
  • Drive continuous improvement in the quality assurance processes and cross-organizational initiatives
  • Build and maintain the positive relationships across organizations

 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.

BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline with 4+ years software engineering experience or MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline with 2+ years software engineering experience.
Nice to Have

 

  • Hands-on experience with Java development using Object Oriented Programming
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience working within a wide variety of automated testing frameworks, including Java, JUnit, Selenium, TestNG
  • Experience investigating post-release problem reports
  • Experience in Appium, Selenium or other automated test tools
  • MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • Experience coordinating with remote teams
  • Experience working in a regulated industry
  • Knowledge in one or more of software languages, such as Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.
  • Critical thinking and change agility
