As a DevOps Engineer in the speech platform group at Medallia, you will automate and streamline processes and infrastructure supporting our high-speed, state-of-the-art multilingual speech transcription server and systems. You will be involved in diverse tasks including automating builds and QA testing, building and packaging new components, managing CI/CD processes and infrastructure, validating full systems and testing machine learning models. You will need to be a self-starter able to thrive in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility and self-management. You will be building systems from the ground up and responsible for development, support and maintenance of all facets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field
• 6+ years of work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related experience
• In lieu of degree, 8+ years of work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related experience
• 6+ years of experience in Bash scripting and Linux
• Very strong Linux knowledge and skills especially RHEL rpm-based systems
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar; Git/GitHub; Artifactory
• Understanding of groovy scripting or similar to provide template CI / CD artifacts
• Experience working in a cloud environment such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Familiar with Infrastructure as Code (esp Puppet)
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice to have but not required

• 2+ years of experience in automated software build & deployment automation in distributed cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, Azure
• Knowledge in machine learning, deep learning and other AI use cases
• Interest in ModelsOps engineering
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, kubectl, pods, configMaps, secrets, etc.)
