WePay is now growing our Site Reliability Engineering team! As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will work directly with application developers to build and deploy a microservice-based infrastructure. The technology stack includes Google Cloud, Kubernetes, MySQL, Kafka, Apache Pinot, Cassandra, MySQL, Elastic Search, Sensu Go and Prometheus. Your focus will be on understanding production risks, creating new tools to resolve problems in production and shepherding new features and services during product launch and iteration.



What will you do?


Rapid development and shipping of new features is core to WePay’s strategy. You will be instrumental in increasing our software velocity, while maintaining the stability our customers require. You will drive impact through technical influence across the organization and play a critical role that includes monitoring new microservices and supporting core financial products. You will be responsible for creating the security and trust that our applications are running in a safe, well thought out and reliable infrastructure. The work at WePay is fast-paced but structured. Our goals are ambitious, and we are also able to keep a good work / life balance. We provide the chance to actively participate in open source projects and give back to our community.


What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of full-time, industry experience
  • You’re skilled with UNIX commands, troubleshooting, and shell scripting
  • You can debug complex problems across the whole stack
  • You have experience designing, building, and operating large-scale productions systems
  • Experience with Python or Java
  • Experience with relational databases, key and document stores (MySQL or Postgres, Redis, Cassandra, etc.)
