Amherst is looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to build apps to power our fintech and proptech platform.

Amherst uses Salesforce as a core piece of technology to manage several aspects of the business. This includes Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Field Service Lightning and more in the future. We are invested in Salesforce and need help building out the platform and team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Work closely with the Technology Team and Business Users to scope projects, gather requirements, and implement solutions. 

  • Perform Salesforce administration, configuration, development, and advise on best practices including with both development and advanced administration. 

  • Help build integrations with our core technology infrastructure. 

  • Work with the Amherst DevOps team to manage Salesforce deployments. 

  • Develop new features from design through implementation and launch. 

  • Improve and maintain existing applications and services. 

  • Evaluate technical tradeoffs of every decision and work with design on the best UI and infrastructure practices. 

  • Contribute to code reviews of your peers, helping them to improve their code and follow the best practices.  

WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

  • 5+ years of professional development experience in a Salesforce environment 

  • Certified Administrator & Platform Developer I. Advanced Administrator and Platform Developer II Preferred. 

  • Strong Advanced Configuration using APEX, LWC, and SOQL knowledge 

  • Experience with common software development tools and processes 

  • Understanding of common integration patterns and RESTful APIs 

  • Experience working with larger mixed teams
