The Opportunity:
The SDET plays an instrumental role in ensuring the quality of software applications that are part of the Portfolio Management group's Ecosystem. The primary responsibility will be to partner with BAs, Development teams, DevOps and Performance/Automation teams to build and manage set of reusable verification assets. You will create/manage/oversee the development of robust set of automation assets to result in a deep and flexible set of tests that become the primary foundation for solid CI/CD practice with promotion certification, application monitoring and backward compatibility. You will report to the Application Development Team Leader within our PMG group.
The Day to Day:

  • Provide technical leadership on quality functions across multiple scrum teams
  • Design and deliver automation and automation framework for products with a quality approach
  • Design and configure quality engineering tools, both on premise and cloud-based, to guide application development efficiencies and improve operational stability
  • Develop tools and processes to increase automation of testing and adherence to security and audit systems and controls
  • Foster the use of Test automation, Performance and Test data management tools and capabilities across all development teams
  • Define Quality Engineering processes, standards, tools, best practices, execution strategies, roadmaps to connect current designs to long-term architecture, and monitoring to bring adherence to processes
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Integration team to integrate test automation suites as part of the CI/CD frameworks
  • Resolve issues, alerts, and incidents based on predefined service level agreements regarding system availability, performance, and service levels
  • Coordinate with other departments on lapse in services, performing root cause analysis and escalate unresolved issues accordingly


Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in:
    • Software testing and test automation of API-based, ADF-based and Event-based solutions and test data management tools such as Test Complete Pro, Ready API, Postman, Open API-based toolsets, Load test tools like JMeter, RunScope, TestRail
    • Test automation frameworks and other DevOps tools, such as Github, Jenkins, jFrog, Artifactory, Ansible, Tosca, AppDynamics, Splunk or equivalent
    • Scripting languages like Shell Scripting, Groovy, Python, Perl, Java, JavaScript, .Net or PowerShell, Atlassian tools like JIRA, Confluence
    • Enterprise application development with focus on Reliability, Resilience and Availability
    • Implement BDD/TDD and relevant toolsets, relational database management skills like Azure SQL, SQL Server
    • Integrate test automation frameworks with DevOps pipelines in private cloud and public cloud platforms like Microsoft
  • Exposure to integration across On-prem and cloud systems for HA/DR testing
