SeatGeek is a product-centric organization that deploys code into production multiple times per day. As we grow, the scale of our infrastructure and operating environment will continue to increase.

As an Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer, you'll improve the SeatGeek Enterprise technology ecosystem, release automation, and manage SeatGeek's production systems. SeatGeek has more services and deployments than developers, which means automation has to be the default when it comes to deploying, testing and managing our platforms. Enterprise Infrastructure is the backbone that supports SeatGeek Enterprise as we continue to grow our primary ticketing platform and support clients such as the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Manchester City FC.

What you'll do

  • Develop and refine internal tools that help manage applications across the SeatGeek Enterprise portfolio
  • Improve workflow automation across the Platform team, and the Enterprise organization
  • Manage and enhance the Enterprise software application deployment process
  • Participate in on-call schedule
  • Assist with continued client migrations from legacy datacenters to AWS
  • Partner with the engineering organization to help support them in getting the most out of our infrastructure tooling
  • Train and collaborate with other departments on how to run production systems and deployments with autonomy
  • Support teams with expertise in the areas of deployment, infrastructure configuration, and scalability in all parts of the stack

Who you are

You love building resilient infrastructure but have an even greater love for how it’s deployed and managed. You make decisions based on data and are not afraid of experimenting to get the information you need. You also have the following:

  • Passion for craftsmanship and product. You have well-considered opinions about how reliable infrastructure should work, and hold yourself and your code to a high standard
  • AWS experience and experience with VMs, containers, and serverless compute platforms
  • Experience with operating systems (primarily Windows 2019), configuration management, and "Infrastructure as Code"
  • Scripting in Powershell, Ruby, Python, Bash or other interpreted language
  • Familiarity with Relational and Non-relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server and Postgres preferred)
  • Experience with configuration management systems such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Salt
  • Experience with continuous integration, delivery, testing, and code deployment (using tools such as Gitlab CI and Jenkins)

Perks

  • Equity stake
  • Flexible work environment, allowing you to work as many days a week in the office as you’d like or 100% remotely
  • A WFH stipend to support your home office setup
  • Flexible PTO
  • Up to 16 weeks of paid family leave
  • 401(k) matching program
  • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance
  • Annual subscriptions to Headspace, Ginger.io, and One Medical
  • $120 a month to spend on tickets to live events
  • Annual subscription to Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon music

An Insider's view of SeatGeek

What are some social events your company does?

The importance of gathering is baked into our DNA at SeatGeek! We always take time to celebrate milestones together, whether in person or virtually, and, while we throw an amazing End of Year party, my favorite events are a little more personal! We empower employees to create their own social events from fitness classes to crafting or or tv nights!

Erin

Workplace & People Programs Manager

What projects are you most excited about?

An ongoing project I am excited about is the redesign of one of the core flows in our app. It is a high impact, cross functional initiative and I love how we’ve been able to implement a new technical foundation, introduce new features, and improve the user experience. I’m looking forward to the initial release and gathering insights from consumers!

Jenny

Software Engineer II

How do you empower your team to be more creative?

We encourage teams to solve problems and create delightful customer experiences, not implement pre-defined solutions. Our teams leverage research/data to understand our customers needs and behaviors, but we also believe that giving teams the space to be creative during a discovery phase opens the possibilities of what they can come up with.
