It requires passionate and motivated problem-solvers ready to chart the course towards a future where food waste and exorbitant food costs don’t exist. 

We are now seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team, working on our customer-facing back-end and company-facing portal. These systems power the front-end marketplace that our customers regularly shop on, and administer the marketplace.

You will:

• Maintain our customer-facing back-end. This is written in PHP, served with Nginx on AWS servers, and is backed by a Postgres/Redis data layer. Examples of things you might work on include:
  • The APIs which power our marketplace front-end. Common use-cases include displaying products, tracking customer carts, completing orders, and updating customer subscriptions.
  • The back-end job that regularly schedules the customer's next order.
  • The back-end job that processes customer payments and then hands completed orders off to the warehouse.
  • The back-end job that send emails to our customers on specific events (like when their box is shipped), and for general marketing.
  • Unit and integration tests. We use them to reduce the risk our code has defects and to scale how much we can realistically test each release.
  • The company-facing website (Written in React + js) which we use to administer the company website, and which our Customer Service Team uses to investigate and resolve customer issues.
  • Develop flexible solutions to meet business needs, drive down technical debt and defects, and write adaptable code.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to clarify what the requirements are for potential features, determine if they're feasible, and scope out technical projects.

You have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in CS or related degree or experience
• 4+ years of experience developing software in a production environment
• A proven track record of working in fast-paced environments
• A solid understanding of the modern web stack

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PHP
• Experience with React + JS
• Experience with AWS
