We are looking for a Senior front-end focused full stack web developer to help build the world’s first outbreak detection system for contagious disease. 

At Kinsa we are driven by our mission to track and stop the spread of contagious illness. We use data analytics and machine learning to forecast where and when illness will break out. Our award winning connected thermometers provide the sensor network needed to collect real-time, geolocated, clinically accurate health data. We've proven that our data can accurately track the spread of influenza in communities weeks ahead of the US Centers for Disease Control 

We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable building eloquent, easy to learn web-based user interfaces, developing backend systems to service the UI as well asdoing code reviews and mentoring/facilitating other engineers.

Working with interaction designers, data scientists, product managers, and health experts you will be responsible for implementing web-based interfaces including enterprise portals, marketing websites and web based mobile content.

Responsibilities:

• Write client-side and server-side code optimized for delivery speed, responsiveness, and scalability
• Code reviews and mentorship of other engineers
• Ensure the technical feasibility of product requirements and interface designs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4 - 9+ years of experience in front end or full stack web development
• Experience writing accessible HTML and modular SCSS
• Experience with React and JavaScript
• Experience with Node.JS

Nice to have:

• Experience with TypeScript and/or Python
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with AWS
