KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hands-on design, analysis, development and troubleshooting of highly-distributed large-scale production systems and event-driven, cloud-based services
• Manage a fleet of Linux and Windows VMs as part of the application solutions
• Participate in pull requests for site reliability goals
• Advocate IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and CaC (Configuration as Code) practices
• Take ownership of reliability, up time, system security, cost, operations, capacity and performance-analysis
• Monitor and report on service level objectives for a given applications services while working with the business, technology teams and product owners to establish key service level indicators
• Help ensure the repeatability, traceability, and transparency of our infrastructure automation
• Support on-call rotations for operational duties that have not been addressed with automation

YOU MUST HAVE

• 5+ years of progressive experience in system administration, application development, and/or infrastructure development; along with demonstrated expertise building and managing highly scaled production infrastructure in the cloud using Azure or AWS
• 4+ years of database administration experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Influx, Druid, and/or Cassandra DBA
• 3+ years expertise in data analysis for data science / data warehouse / ETL projects using any of the following: Microsoft Azure Cloud, ADF, AzCopy, Azure Functions, Databricks, Scala Spark, ETL

WE VALUE

• Experience in handling any type of large-scale distributed data management systems using Hadoop, Influx, Cassandra, Druid and/or Elastic
• Experience in Relationship Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and/or columnar databases
• Experience setting up observability for distributed systems
• Experience with programming in languages like Javascript, Python, PHP, Go, Java and/or Ruby
• Expertise in container/container-fleet-orchestration technologies, including Openshift, AKS, or EKS
• Experience in infrastructure automation technologies, including Terraform and Ansible
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
