Security Engineering Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities
This position is for a Security Engineering Manager within IBM's Federal Consulting division under our Federal Managed Security Services team. The manager is responsible for oversight and successful delivery of our security tools and related engineering services to 45+ Federal clients across a hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure which operates 24x7x365. The manager is also responsible for generating Key Process Indicator (KPI) reports, client reports, working with multiple program teams as well as external clients. The manager will report to the MSS Shared Services Delivery Leader.
If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position $127,000.00 to $197,000.00 based on a full time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Extensive Security Tools experience within a federal environment
- Excellent people management skills
- Strong Leadership Skills
- In-depth understanding of Federal information security principles and controls as it relates to application systems and general support systems, including network security
- Implementation &maintenance of SIEM Systems
- Performing Vulnerability Management in an enterprise environment
- Experience in risk management
- Vulnerability scanning & management
- Execution of security & network incident response procedures
- Security policy development
- Ability to create & maintain formal documentation for systems administration, operations, and maintenance
- Excellent teamwork, written, oral communication, & formal documentation skills
- CISSP or CISM security certification required
- Escalation point 24x7x365 for issues that require management attention/assistance
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- At least 3 years of experience as Security Manager
- At least 1 year of experience in SIEM analysis and reporting
- At least 1 year of experience in Anti-Virus analysis and reporting
- At least 1 year of experience in Vulnerability Scanning (System, Database and Application)
- CISA, CGEIT, CIPP/G, CIPP/US certifications desirable in additon to CISSP or CISM
- U.S. Citizenship Required
