Collins Aerospace is looking for a Report Developer who will be part of Program Materials and supporting Portfolio Biz Jet and Boeing programs while working with the Data Science and Analytics team to improve our business systems and processes. The role is highly cross-functional and collaborative with significant interaction with Operations, Supply Chain, Program Materials Management, Site Materials Management and IT. Report Developer will provide systems and solutions expertise while effectively communicating with technical teams and business stakeholders. Selected candidate will be required to operate with multiple projects simultaneously, creating visualization reports and dashboards to meet business and user requirements. In addition, employee will need the ability to communicate effectively with internal customers and be able to learn and leverage new concepts, processes, and technology rapidly.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with other functions on specific projects to improve our data analytics and reporting for processes in Materials management across ASG
  • Building dashboards to generate and distribute key performance indicators (KPI's) and quickly highlight areas for improvement
  • Create custom queries for ad-hoc and ongoing customer analytical requests
  • Partner with internal customers, stakeholders and cross functional teams to translate reporting requirements into scalable solutions and appropriate visualizations
  • Map data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics to ensure data quality
  • Understand different data types, interaction methods and controls
  • Lead team in developing robust analytical and statistical models to better forecast supply & demand
  • Work with team to predict capacity constraints & recommend effective solutions using scenario analysis & factory simulations
  • Identify and manage scope concerns, risks, and issues and escalate as appropriate
  • Benchmark other programs for best practices and areas of improvement
  • Travel up to 15%, domestic


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering or a related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering or a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in defining key business KPIs and Metrics, developing and maintaining documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Hands on experience with data mining, data exploration and visualization tools i.e., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik or similar tools
  • Hands on experience in data queries using SQL
  • Experience implementing ERP, MES and business intelligence systems (SAP preferred)
  • Certified in Lean manufacturing or Six-Sigma with a demonstrated ability to establish and mature a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture, ie. enhance ease of use/generation of current spreadsheets/databases
  • Programing experience using languages i.e. Python, R or similar
  • Experience using ETL tools i.e. Alteryx, SSIS, Power Query or similar
  • Understanding of Agile\\scrum methodologies
