Quality Assurance Lead

Ensuring that the product is under the standards and methods established by the company and/or the client as well as avoid the export of the non-conforming product. The Quality assurance Lead reports to the QA Supervisor and oversees Quality Assurance team functions by providing leadership, training, and development in the execution day to day workload. This person will set and maintain a quality assurance protocol for inspection execution on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished product. Must be a critical thinker who can quickly identify, highlight, and track defect trends and leverage learnings across projects to enhance the overall program through process improvement initiatives.
- Comply with the quality system requirements related to its function.
- Understanding the quality system: Documentation, work method, and expectations of the internal and external customers regarding a process, product, or service.
- Conduct and oversee inspections of in-process production following SOP.
- Documenting productivity, defects issues at required intervals in order to use Traffic light system at each POD
- Ability to lead a team of associates with respect and without bias
- Schedule and conduct training of associates/employees and promote a culture of quality awareness.
- Communicate concerns to supervisor and appropriate individuals.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and drive process change to elevate the quality process
- Assist in coordinating and assigning work orders to Quality inspectors.
- Self-motivated work style but also comfortable with team-based work structure; ability to demonstrate flexibility on the job.
- Communicate effectively to both to the production lead and the production supervisors, about any non-compliance.
- Enforce the provisions of the environment, health, and safety program.
- Maintain Attendance log document and communicate absences, tardiness and other attendance related issue’s to supervisor.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Execute any other function that the immediate supervisor indicates concerning the operation.
Requirements:
• 1-2 years in a Leadership position • Quality experience preferred • Strong communication skills: must be able to read, write, and speak English, bilingual a plus • Computer skills required. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Demonstrates initiative and be able to work independently with limited supervision. • Must be able to work extended hours (including weekends and holidays) as necessary. • Able to work in a fast-paced, quality-oriented environment. |
