QA Automation Lead- Remote

We are currently looking to hire a QA Automation Lead to join our team as a remote employee.

This role will be integral in the Agile team including: working with product owners for user story clarification, backlog grooming, story sizing, sprint planning, task breakdown, design, development, and testing. Strong automation test engineering background with the ability to test manually to support collecting and analyzing data for software development evaluation and improvements, day-to-day tasks of testing and quality assurance processes will be considered. Leadership and management skills and interest in mentorship. Successful candidate drives quality through continuous improvement, relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals, exhibits good communication and interpersonal skills, works well under pressure and aggressive timelines, and thinks beyond the day-to-day activities to keep big-picture objectives in mind. Ideal candidates will be experienced in all quality aspects including: Test Automation, Test Planning, Integration Testing, Functional Testing, and Test Execution. Ideal candidates will also possess collaboration skills, problem solving skills and be experienced in agile environment 

Every engagement will be different, but you’ll always be responsible for:

• Developing test scenarios, feature files and/or test scripts based on user stories
• Designing, building and executing test automation scripts for UI and API testing in Web based environment, using Cypress
• Working with the development team and QA Automation Engineers within an agile environment
• Leading and mentoring other team members in all quality aspects
• Performing System, Regression, Functional, and End-to-End testing
• Analyzing and documenting defects and work with scrum team for defect resolution
• Partnering with architects, business ops, security ops and builder tools teams to ensure applications are fault tolerant with comprehensive monitoring and alerting 
• Developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications

Role Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
• 8 + years of experience with a development/automation background
• Extensive experience in Cypress Automation framework 
• Experience working with Selenium, Javascript and Java 
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and process (Jenkins is highly advantageous)
